PRICING
We recognise most UK health insurers and our consultants are registered care providers for most. Following receipt of a valid authorisation we will handle all the financial aspects of your appointments and treatments direct with your insurer. If you have any queries as to whether your planned appointment or treatment is covered by your insurance you need to speak to your insurer to confirm. In some cases, you may need supporting information from your GP, consultant or ourselves to confirm cover and we will be happy to help.
If you do not have insurance, you may choose to pay for your treatment. In many cases you can self-refer for your first consultation and arrange this at a time that suits you. We will provide you with a quote prior to your clinic visit. If any procedures are needed then we will provide you with an estimate for the procedure.
Please not that the provided prices are only to be used as a guide. The prices do not include the hospital charges which you will be invoiced for separately. Face to Face ConsultationList Item 1If you have insurance you will need to visit your GP who can refer you to our clinic through your insurance provider. Once we recive you referral we will contact your insurance company and arrange payment details with them. If you do not have insurance you are welcome to self refer to your clinic by contacting our team. We will provide you with a quote for your first consultantion and if appropriate provide you with an estimate for your ongoing care and required investigations. Your consultation price as a new patient is £250 which includes interpetation of your heart tracing.

Follow-up ConsultationList Item 2If you require follow-up for your heart condition and have insurance, this can be done via your insurance company. You will need to check with your insurance company to make sure that you are covered for clinic follow-ups. Once you have confirmation of your cover we will liase with you insurance company in regards to payment. If you do not have insurance and require follow-up for your heart condition, we will provide you with a personalised quote for your follow-up consultations. Your follow-up consultation price is £200 which includes interpetation of your heart tracing.

Phone and Video ConsultationList Item 4We are happy to offer our patients phone or skype consultations. This service is unique and is not currently covered by any of the insurance companies. If you wish to take advantage of this service please contact a member of our team who will be happy to assist you. The price for a phone or skype consultation is £100. The duration of your appointment will be 30 minutes.

EchocardiogramList Item 3Echocardiogram is one of the main investigations performed by cardiologists. This test enables your doctor to assess the pumping function of your heart as well as evaluate the function of your valves. If you have health insurance, you need to visit your GP inorder for you to be referred for a private echocardiogram. Once we recieve your referral we will contact your insurance company and provie wih a date for your scan. If you do not have insurance and would like to have a private echocardiogram, you can ask your GP to refer you directly to one of our consultants who would be happy to organise this for you. The price for a private echocardiogram including hospital and consultant's reporting fee is £360.

Other investigationsAfter you initial consultation, your consultant may refer you for different investigations. If you have health insurance, you will need to check whether you are covered for the suggested investigations. We would be happy to check your cover and provide the relevant information needed by your insurance company. If you do not have insurance, we will provide you with a taylor made estimate with no hidden costs.

Sport ScreeningSouthwest Heart provides a thorough sport screening service. Your initial visit will include a consultation with one of our consultants followed by recording of your heart tracing (ECG) and an echocardiography. The price for a full sport screening including an ECG and Echocardiography is £600.
